The burst of sirens beyond his second story hotel room snapped Paul back from trance the spot of vomit had placed him in. It wasn't like Paul was a clean freak or germaphobe. He hadn't searched his room for bed bugs upon checking in, even though his mother had reminded him to do so before he left for his trip and he was even know to use the restroom without washing his hands. His mind jumped to wild scenarios, exposed to patient Zero in a worldwide outbreak, Alien DNA eating at the fibers of his pants and transforming him into a polyester-human hybrid, tiny mirco -machines contained within the bile, that would infect his brain and turn him into a puppet for a shadow organization or worse yet, his favorite trousers ruined for all time with a vomit stain.
